Involvement/Governance
Northwest Community Credit Union will endeavor to preserve credit union democratic
principles, including demographic representation and volunteer participation in credit
union activities. We are committed to sound and ethical standards of management and
governance of our organization.
Programs that support Involvement/Governance
Board members and our management are encouraged and enabled to attend seminars,
classes and conferences.
We involve volunteers through active committees and outreach programs:
- Regular contact with the Board and Staff at the Credit Union Association of Oregon
- Monthly educational sessions at Board & Supervisory meeting
- Education and Governmental Affairs Conference
- Staff on the Governmental Affairs Committee
- Staff on State Legislative Task Force
- Staff Speaking on Legislative Committee Hearings
- Active responses to “Calls to Action” on political issues affecting credit unions
- Volunteers and staff on local Chambers of Commerce
- Staff as President of Chamber of Commerce
- Consumer Credit Counseling programs
