How to Log in to NWCU's Mobile App

Unlock your money with our mobile app!

Our mobile banking app is available on both Apple and Android operating systems. Once you've downloaded the Northwest Community eBanking mobile app, you have several options to log in easily and securely.

Username and Password

When you get signed up for eBanking, you create a username and password. You can use this same username and password to log into the mobile app. After signing in, you’ll see a pop-up letting you know we’ll call, text, or email you a Secure Access Code using a phone number or email we currently have on file. Once you receive the code, enter it.

If you don’t want a code the next time you log in, click Register Device.

Touch ID or Fingerprint

The NWCU eBanking app is equipped with touch authentication so you can have your money at your fingertips!

What is touch authentication?

Touch authentication (known as Touch ID for Apple and Fingerprint for Android) is a biometric fingerprint reader available on some mobile devices. This feature allows you to unlock your mobile banking app by using the home button’s fingerprint reader.

Which devices have touch authentication?

Any device that has the fingerprint reader feature available has touch authentication. You can use it with:

  • Android mobile devices (6.0 or newer)
  • iPad Pro
  • iPad Air 2 or newer
  • iPad 3 mini or newer

Note: eBanking in your web browser does not have the touch authentication feature available.

What else is required to use touch authentication?

You need three things to use touch authentication:

  • A mobile device with Touch ID capability
  • The Northwest Community eBanking mobile app
  • Touch ID option enabled on your device itself

How to enable touch authentication:

  1. In the login page, select Touch ID or Fingerprint in bottom left corner.
  2. Read the terms and select Enroll.
  3. Enter your username and password, then select Authorize.
  4. Register your fingerprint by placing your fingertip on the fingerprint sensor (this is also the home button). You must register the same fingerprint for the NWCU app that you registered for your phone.
  5. Next you'll see a verification screen letting you know that touch authentication has been enabled.

Note: The NWCU app does not allow more than one fingerprint to be registered for the app, even if you have more than one registered to your phone.

If you don’t want to sign in using Touch ID or Fingerprint, you can use the Username and Password, or the Passcode. All three options are available on the login screen.

Using a Passcode

This 4-Digit Passcode login option is an alternative method for logging into your mobile online banking profile. It replaces your Login ID and Password with a 4-Digit Passcode.

You can use the 4-Digit Passcode with both Apple and Android mobile devices. eBanking through your web browser does not have the 4-Digit Passcode feature available.

You need to do two things in order to use the 4-Digit Passcode:

    1. Download Northwest Community eBanking Mobile App.
    1. Enable the 4-Digit Passcode option in your online banking profile.

How to enable the 4-Digit Passcode:

  1. In the login page, select Passcode in bottom right corner.
  2. Read the terms and select Enroll.
  3. Enter your username and password, then select Authorize.
  4. Create a 4-digit passcode and then re-enter your selected passcode.
  5. You’ll then see a verification screen letting you know that Passcode has been enabled.

Note: You can enable and use both touch authentication and the 4-digit passcode on the NWCU app.
