Who Can Join?
An estimated 80% of Oregon's population qualifies to join Northwest
Community Credit Union, and many outside of our state can join, too.
You can join if you or a relative (sibling, parent, aunt, uncle, grandchild, etc.,)
live or work in Oregon's
Benton, Clackamas, Coos, Crook, Deschutes, Douglas, Jackson, Jefferson, Josephine, Lane,
Linn, Klamath, Marion, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Once you join,
you can be a member for life, even if you move—that’s why we have members who live all over
the world.

Why Join? Because we're different than other financial institutions.
- We're a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative, run by a
member-elected volunteer board of directors who
make sure your interests come first.
- Your savings stay in local communities; deposits are reinvested
right here in Oregon, providing loans and other services to your fellow members.
- You’ll almost always find better rates here. Unlike a bank, we
return dividends directly to you as a member, not use them to generate profits for
outside investors.
Get the most out of your credit union. After all, you own it.
When you join Northwest Community Credit Union (NWCU), you do more than open an
account. You become a member-owner in a financial cooperative. We’re a banking
alternative, and our only job is to help you and other members enjoy financial success.
Since 1949, we’ve helped Oregon families build
stronger financial futures. The credit union is owned and operated by its members, so
this is an institution where people really do help people.
Another way to be able to join is to be related to someone who lives in, or works in,
one of these counties. Eligible family relations include niece, uncle, brother,
child, sibling, parent, and grandparent—all are welcome and your family doesn’t have to
be a member yet.
If you meet these membership requirements to join Northwest Community Credit Union,

have you as a new member. If you have any questions about the credit union’s
services and benefits, please eMail us.
We are always happy to hear from you.
