NWCU's Share Bear Club for kids
Saving money is rewarding!
Credit Union kids can join our cool savings program and get rewards for saving money.
We call it "The Share Bear Club." Every time a Share Bear Saver makes a deposit into his or
her savings account, he or she will receive a token. When enough tokens have been saved up,
a Share Bear Saver can exchange them for a fun prize. This unique program was designed to
build strong savings habits for the credit union’s youngest members. It’s a great way for
kids to earn some fun prizes while learning the value of saving money!
Who can be a Share Bear Saver?
Any young member (up to 12 years old) can be a Share Bear Saver. Have questions or
want to join NWCU? Get more information about
joining or contact branch near you.
How do Share Bear Savers earn tokens?
To qualify for a token, money deposited into a Share Bear Account can't be transferred
from another Northwest Community account. If parents or relatives want to transfer money
into the child's account, no problem! To earn a token, however, it must be money that’s new
to the credit union. Money deposited into a Share Bear Account through a payroll deduction
allocation does not qualify for tokens. However, two tokens will be awarded if payroll
deduction into a Share Bear Account is started or the current amount is increased. The money
should be deposited with the idea of keeping it there. Of course, withdrawals are allowed.
No tokens will be awarded if the money is deposited and withdrawn right away. With the
exception of the payroll deduction awards, tokens are limited to one per day, per account.
