Information for first-time home buyers
We build loan programs to fit just about any borrower's dreams. We're home loan
experts and we want to give you the lowest possible rate and excellent, local service.
There are also many special programs (yes, they still exist) to help first-time homebuyers
purchase a home. Talk to a mortgage specialist
for help fining one that works for you.
Applying for a mortgage loan
Applying for a mortgage may seem like a huge task, but we're here to make it easy.
We charge no fees to review your mortgage application, and you can expect a quick response
(usually within 24 to 48 hours). Apply online or
meet with one of our mortgage specialists
who can help you with the process from beginning to end.
Pre-mortgage counseling
Not only is it important that your home is right for you, it's also very important that your home
loan is right for you. For many first-time buyers, this means some preparation time before
they move from renting to buying. (Use this renting
vs. buying calculator to get an idea of where you're at.) Our mortgage specialists can help
you better understand how credit works and can help you work towards your financial goals in
preparation for buying your first home. Contact us
today to schedule an appointment.
Program variety
We have a full line of mortgage programs so we can find the best fit for you. We work with
federal programs and we’re VA, FHA and FmHA approved. In fact, one out of ten of our
mortgages go through government loan programs.
Less-than-ideal credit
If you have a rocky credit history, we still want to help. We employ a variety of
programs to help move people in to home ownership—often without the “last chance” rates.
Low down payments
There are many possibilities. We have the popular 3% down program, but maybe
your needs are more specialized. For example, our 80/15/5 program lets you do a first
and second mortgage loan so you only have to come up with 5% down. We take the time to
find a program that fits almost any budget.
To put us to work for you, contact a mortgage
specialist, visit your local
branch or call 1-800-452-9515. You may also Apply online
for a mortgage right from your own computer.
