How NWCU uses credit reporting companies:

Northwest Community Credit Union uses information from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax to make credit decisions and review existing accounts. We also report loan repayment information back to these three credit bureaus.

Will the Equifax breach affect your applications in progress? We will continue to process new and existing credit applications as normal. Equifax has indicated that they have found no evidence of unauthorized activity on their core consumer or commercial credit reporting databases.

Take Action: Stay informed and monitor Read your postal mail: Equifax will notify you in writing of any of your own documents affected in the breach. They may recommend an identity theft protection plan.

You can also take proactive steps to monitor your financial, credit card, and retail charge accounts. Use eBanking to set account alerts; change passwords frequently, and practice good cyber-hygiene.

Download our CardValet app (available in the App Store or Google Play) and set your preferred spending parameters. It lets you control how, when, and where your NWCU cards can be used. You can turn your card off when not in use, set alerts to advise you when your card is used, and even set controls that limit where and for what amounts the card can be used.
