NWCU Board Director Barb Blackmore has served the credit union as a board director since 1997. Her board involvement has included roles as Chair (2004–2013); Vice-Chair (2000-2003; and 2020); and Board Secretary (2014–2020). She is currently serving as Governance Committee Chair.

Prior to retirement in 2012, Barb was employed as the Oregon Forest Resources Manager of Western Timberlands for the Weyerhaeuser Company (2003 - 2012); and in Weyerhaeuser’s divisions of  Timberlands Planning (1991 to 2003); and Timberlands Engineering (1978 to 1990.)

Barb holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Linfield College (McMinnville, OR).

 Barb’s hobbies include travel, golf, and curling up with a good book.
