Associate Board Member Sid Leiken joined the NWCU Board in 2020.

Sid serves as the executive officer for Western Oregon Builders Association and is currently the owner of Leiken & Associates, a business strategy and government affairs consulting firm. Previously, Sid served as a Lane County Commissioner from 2011 to 2019. In addition to subsequent roles in consulting, he served as Mayor of Springfield, Oregon between 2000–2010; he was also founder and president of Prestige Cleaners of Oregon (Roseburg, Eugene, and Springfield) between 1990–2000.

He attended Northwest Christian University (Bushnell University).

In addition to NWCU board service, Sid served on the Transportation Committee, National Association of Counties (2014 - 2018); the Oregon 21 Advisory Committee, Track Town Inc. (2015 - 2018); and was chair of the Transportation and Community Development Committee for Associated Oregon Counties (2012– 2018). He also served on the Travel Lane County Board of Directors between 2000–2012. He additionally chaired the Transportation Committee, League of Oregon Cities (2002 - 2008); and served on the Board of Trustees, Northwest Christian University (2002 - 2006) as well as the Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority (1999 - 2000).

Sid’s hobbies include golfing, traveling, UO sports, and playing and listening to music.
