NWCU Board Vice Chair Thomas Pettus-Czar has served as a board director since 2019.

Thomas is currently the Chief Strategy Officer for the Syndicate Media Group; he began work with the digital marketing and advertising firm as a project manager in 2018.

As founder and owner of two small businesses in Eugene, Farmers Union Coffee Roasters (2017–Present), and The Barn Light (2012–2020), Thomas has experience in sustainable development of urban zones; and services necessary to support successful business and thriving employees.

He holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Psychology (University of Oregon) and another in Art History (University of Kansas).

His additional board experience includes the Eugene Symphony Association Board of Directors (since 2019); and the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce: Board of Directors (since 2016).

In his leisure time, Thomas enjoys reading, exercise, art & design, and travel.
