The Larry Levine Memorial Scholarship is available to Douglas County students ONLY in completing their education and developing career opportunities even in the face of challenge. Larry Levine was a writer and educator Associate Professor who was killed along with eight Umpqua Community College Students in 2015. One scholarship up to $3,500 will be awarded to cover tuition, books, and fees for the 2023-2024 academic year and must be used to attend Umpqua Community College.
One scholarship up to $3,500 will be awarded each year to cover tuition, books, and fees for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Eligibility:
- Be a NWCU member in good standing by March 29, 2024.
- Be a high school graduate or have a GED.
- Attend an accredited college, university or community college fall of 2024.
- Attend nine or more credit hours for 2024 Fall term.
- Previous recipients may not apply.
- Must be a Douglas County resident
- Attend Umpqua Community College in Fall of 2024
