Northwest Community Credit Union is partnering with NextStep Recycling and Access to provide a free, safe way for our community members to get rid of personal documents and old electronics!

What can I bring?

Please limit your document shredding to 3 file-size boxes to help us serve everyone efficiently.

What happens to the stuff I bring in?

We’ve partnered with Access to shred your documents on-site.

NextStep Recycling will be collecting your old electronics for recycling or reuse. Hard drives slated for reuse are reformatted and cleared according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Guidelines for Media Sanitation for hard drive data clearing. Hard drives determined to be unusable are physically destroyed. Cell phones, cameras and other hardware with data storage are also cleared by a trained technician before going to reuse. NextStep physically destroys CDs, tapes, or disks with personal information.
